Step-by-Step Instructions
Find the Centre
Unfold the wrap and locate the Boba logo. Position it over your navel with the logo facing outward—this is your starting point.
Cross Behind Your Back
Take the two loose ends and cross them behind your back. Bring each end up and over your shoulders to the front, forming an “X” across your back. Keep the fabric flat and untwisted.
Tuck into the Centre Panel
Gather both shoulder pieces together and tuck them under the centre section (the part with the logo), keeping the tension snug as you do.
Pull Down and Adjust
Pull the tucked pieces downwards—this will raise the logo panel up over your chest. Adjust the fabric so it fits snugly and hugs your body.
Cross in Front
Cross the two ends over your chest (just above the sternum), then wrap them around your waist. No need to leave extra room—baby will fit snugly once placed inside.
Tie it Off
Wrap the remaining fabric behind your back and tie a double knot. If there’s extra length, you can tie at your back, front, or side—wherever feels most comfortable.
Always follow the T.I.C.K.S. rules for safe babywearing to ensure your little one stays secure, comfortable, and supported in your Boba Wrap:
T – Tight
The wrap should be snug like a hug. A tight fit prevents baby from slumping and supports your back by distributing weight evenly.
I – In View at All Times
Your baby’s face should always be visible. Avoid covering their face with fabric or clothing so you can check their breathing easily.
C – Close Enough to Kiss
You should be able to tilt your head forward and kiss the top of your baby’s head. If not, raise the wrap higher on your torso.
K – Keep Chin Off Chest
Ensure there’s at least two fingers’ space between baby’s chin and chest. This keeps their airway open and unobstructed.
S – Supported Back
Your baby’s back should be well supported in a natural, ergonomic “C” curve. The wrap should hold them firmly against your chest with no slumping.
What age or weight is the Boba Auri suitable for?
This carrier is weight tested from 3.2kg but we recommend the panel height is more suitable from about 1 month old. The Auri has an upper weight limit of 20kg and suits to about 3 years old. The velcro adjustment makes it super easy to adjust as your baby grows and needs a larger seat.
Is the Boba Auri machine washable?
Yes, the Boba Classic Wrap is machine washable and dryer friendly - perfect for everyday messes and busy parenting life.
Is the Boba Auri certified hip-healthy?
Yes. All Boba wraps, including the Classic, are certified “Hip Healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. It supports your baby in the recommended M-shaped position with froggy legs and a gently rounded spine.
