Yummy Mummy Dannii Minogue papped rocking il tutto's navy 'Nico'!

It seems as though celebrities just can't get enough of il tutto's fabulous nappy bags, and Dannii Minogue is the latest celebrity mum to be caught out and about sporting the totally chic il tutto patent navy 'Nico' parenting bag.

Joining the likes of Cate Blanchett, Sarah Murdoch, Naomi Watts and Denise Van Outen (pictured), who are devoted il tutto fans, the ever-so-stylish Dannii is obviously taking advantage of il tutto's little piece of effortless luxury.

Il tutto's sleek designer nappy bags are a favourite among the celebrity-mum set as they are the perfect way to incorporate the daily baby essentials with still looking like a star with a fabulous handbag, and Dannii Minogue is no exception (she looks amazing!)

“ I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles” said Cole Porter.  And so do I !

Oh j’adore  Paris... one of the most beautiful and only cities in the world where you can step off the metro and take in the key enchantments of the seine with its bridges and bookstalls, the louvre, Notre Dame, the Tuileries and the Champs Elysses all in a quick pirouette ! Armed with my Paris essentials, a scarf,ballet flats, my black Nico and a tonne of attitude, I set off to conquer the Playtime trade fair in Paris. Playtime is one of Europe’s biggest, most successful and exciting shows that is dedicated to the children’s and maternity universe. It attracts an International audience of 4000 potential buyers eager to look at 250 International clothing, design, toy, accessory and maternity wear brands in a colourful, creative and commercial space. Mediocrity is clearly unacceptable in Paris and you’ll see what I mean by taking a peek at the photos I took of some of my neighbouring stands- the imaginations of the French are so inspiring...

But the most French-abulous stand to be found at Playtime this year was il tutto of course- take a look at our space !

We had the ‘best seat’ in the house in my book, immediately located in the front area of the space after the entrance to the show. We caught the eye of many new International customers from Morocco, Helsinki, Belgium, South Africa, England and France to name but a few ! Valerie, a gorgeous French lady (who will be stocking il tutto in her store from next month) told me that this year, il tutto was ‘the jewel’ of the show for her! Merci bien Valerie !

The show ran over three full days, July 3-5 and was awash with colour and beautiful things to see ! We even had a champagne reception after the first day to toast our setting up efforts and making the space look so beautiful and enticing for our guests. See below...

Meet Josef- a petit French heart breaker in the making... He would run past my stand every hour over the 3 days and say ‘salut Clare!’

A trip to Paris is never complete without  macaroons from Laduree and ice cream from Berthillon, a visit to the Louvre and the nearby Rue St Honore, Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, the tres magnifique Opera House, and a ‘bonjuor ‘to the Eiffel Tower.  Oh and check out the super cool ‘Parisian’ Harajuku girls I met on the Champs Elysses !

Whilst away, I had the pleasure of visiting our displays in London’s Harrods, John Lewis Oxford Street and our cool display on the bag wall at the flagship Mamas & Papas store on Regent Street, Oxford Circus. The bags continue to sell very well on a world-wide scale and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the presentation of the product.

My travels also saw me stop off in München, a city I totally fell in love with and so it seems, the city loved me !I was walking through the main square and a beautifully dressed woman came up and hugged me and starting talking to me (in German) like we were old friends ! I’m not sure who was more embarrassed ! I then ran into some crazy looking world cup fans and just had to stop them for a photograph. Wunderbar boys !

So, after my crazy experiences with the locals, Nico ( my trusty il tutto companion) and I set off to visit some new customers - Schlichting and Ziapeppina. Schlichting is a massive 2 level mini one stop shop right in the heart of Munich offering the best brands for mother and child- Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Gaultier Kids, Bugaboo, a gorgeous ‘Bellybutton’ shop-in shop. You name it, they’ve got it! Trading for an impressive 75 years, Evelyn and her team know their stuff. They fell in love with il tutto and ordered on the spot !She especially loved the Layla cream and the Nico.

Next up was a visit to Hohenzollernstrasse, a groovy shopping strip in Schwabing just outside of the city centre. Here we found the gorgeous Ziapeppina, a shop selling luxurious Italian leather bags and shoes, jewellery and relaxed, resort-style fashion. Dagmar has a beautiful eye for quality and detail and loved the il tutto samples I had to show her. She will also be a new stockist of the collection as of next month.

The weather in Europe while I was away was superb. So hot and sunny !So much so that I just HAD to go shopping and buy a couple of new summer outfits from Zara. I also took in the sites and did a lap of the main square which was breathtaking.

I know Munich is famous for its beer halls but I was flying solo so to complete my time here, I thought it much more appropriate to stop off at Oberpollinger for a crisp glass of Champagne. Prost !

Munich is also famous for its cold cuts. Sausage anyone?

So all in all it was a fabulous trip away and Playtime was such a worthwhile experience for Il Tutto. We look forward to our new and additional relationships with Europe. Stay tuned for the next update......
